One of the most criticized topics in ski mountaineering is the lack of media impact in most of the races. The Austrian media clipping of ski mountaineering in the season 2009/2010 just has been finished and is ready to be published, it is a good example of how it could be.

Pierra Menta, Trofeo Mezzalama, Tour du Rutor, Adamello Ski Raid, and Patrouille des Glaciers are joining forces in a new and prestigious international circuit.

Last weekend, general assembly ISMF took place in Salzburg. Negotiation was about many issues and it is not my intention to judge that. I did not even attend that meeting. I don’t know when the results and findings will be publicized /I think they won’t be – by that I mean official website because informedness is distinctively a weakness of organization/. I ask myself long-time question – what is the way that this sport is leading to? Next year, there will be another general assembly ISMF where will decide about representatives /if I am well awared/ and it would be a good time to clearly explain program, vision to the future with following steps. I would be happy if people interested with managing this beautiful sport could come up with conception, which will include answers for the points I am concerned about. Then to publicly present and consequently publicize results

Two new national federations have joined the International Ski Mountaineering Federation. Britain and Sweden were welcomed to the great family of the ISMF at the end of the plenary assembly which took place last Saturday in Salzburg. This was seen as the further token of the ever growing interest in alpine skiing in the world.
A constructive meeting which saw the approval of new regulations concerning the sprint competitions, which should become three in the 2011 world cup edition and whose exact dates will be made official in the forthcoming weeks.

Ce week end a eu lieu a Salzburg l'assemblée génerale de l'ISMF avec beaucoup de questions a traiter, désormais, comme représentant des coureurs avec Mireia Miró, je n'ai pas pu être présent car j'étais en voyage aux US, mais on avait passée nos remarques et propositions a l'ISMF.

Les questions a traiter étaient nombreuses, car il fallait approuver des nouveaux règlements, calendriers, propositions...mais celle qui était la plus attendue, c'était celle du circuit "The Big Race". Finalement, par 9 votes en contre, 4 pour et une abstention, le projet à été refusé.

Un altro importante spazio televisivo è riservato alla Coppa delle Dolomiti di sci alpinismo. Mercoledì 19 maggio ben due manifestazioni dell’importante circuito interregionale troveranno ampio risalto all’interno del programma televisivo Blu Sport, che verrà trasmesso in prima serata alle ore 20 e pure alle 22.30 sulle emittenti del circuito Odeon Tv.
